What is Rapid Transformational Therapy?

 

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a method that has been developed by world renowned UK therapist Marisa Peer.  Marisa has distilled over three decades worth of experience from her own highly successful career as a therapist to curate and create the suite of tools that makes up the RTT methodology.  Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) draws from various aspects of hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychotherapy and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP).

 

What is hypnosis?

 

Hypnotherapy is an effective therapy for a whole variety of issues – and is not to be confused with such things as stage hypnosis. As a trained clinical hypnotherapist, I will work with you to enhance your well-being.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool to heal what is blocking you at the root of the issue, so that you are free to enjoy an amazing and successful life.

Hypnosis is not sleep. During a session you will be relaxed into a safe hypnotic state that is a sleep of the nervous system that allows a two-way conversation between me and your subconscious mind: the part of you that will be holding onto pain or directing behaviours you no longer want to run your life. You will be fully aware of this conversation and you will be empowered when you understand the origin or any issue or behavior and further empowered when I free you from it.

The experience feels different for different people. Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is.

Regardless of what it feels like – it’s working.

Don’t worry about how deep you go. I want you to forget all about that. It’s really not important. The depth of trance is not linked to results at all. So don’t get stuck on “Am I deep enough?” Just tell yourself the truth – “This is working” and it will absolutely work. Just know that it is effective.

There is no wrong or right answer and let me assure you, you are not “supposed” to be doing anything. Just be open to receiving the healing and let your powerful, brilliant subconscious mind guide you and lead the way.

 

There are 3 types of change from our session together – every person is different:

  1. Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviors right in the session.

  2. Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time. Small, yet POWERFUL changes that have a compounding effect on your overall life.

  3. Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.

 

What included in my service?

  • 1.5 to 2+ hours session.

  • 15 to 20 min personal recording. You will have to commit to listen to this recording at least once a day (more is even better) for at least 21-28 days.

  • 30 minutes phone or online review consult after 30 days to see how effective your session has been and where to go from here.

  • Email contact/ support in the 30 days after your session.

What happens during a session?

 

Your first session will typically last 1.5 -  2+ hours.

The first part will be a totally confidential discussion of what is troubling you and how it is making you feel or behave.

I will then demonstrate, if you have not been hypnotized before, what the simple process involves and then when you are relaxed and ready I will hypnotie you. During this regression state the conversation will take place with your subconscious mind so that we can find the root cause of your issue. Then I will help you clear the root cause.

In the last part of the hypnosis session I will create an empowering recording specific to you. This part will be recorded for you, preferably on your phone, and then you will have it to listen to for 21 - 28 days or longer.

Why do I have to listen to the audio for 21- 28 days? Because it has been proven that to truly break and rewire a behaviour or thought process you need to repeat the new and positive beliefs for over 21-28 days. It may not take that long for you. Many people leave the session with such a deep understanding of the underlying cause of their former issue and such a sense of lightness or relief that the cure is effective from that moment onwards. For others the change is more gradual and for some it is essentially retrospective. It is only some weeks later that you find that an old habit or behaviour is no longer part of who you are or what you do. The audio is to ensure that the positive beliefs are strongly embedded.

How many sessions do I need?

 

The number of sessions depends on your unique situation and what you’d like to achieve. Typically, we work on one issue per session. If you have multiple issues, then you would need to book additional sessions. Major issues may also require additional sessions. Often people come for 2 to 3 sessions. Some clients also book short sessions to get guidance and assistance if an event or issue challenges them.

If I have multiple issues, which one should I begin with?

 

I will ask you for the top 3 issues you’d like to address. The one that is causing the most suffering, is often the one that clients like to begin with. During the session, we’ll have a brief discussion to determine which issue to clear first.

 

Are the sessions confidential?

 

Yes, all sessions are completely confidential.

What does hypnosis feel like?

 

Hypnosis is a safe, comfortable and highly enjoyable process where the client is alert, aware of what is going on and always in control.  It is deeply relaxing, engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, which slows down the heart rate and reduces symptoms of stress.   Some describe the experience as "feeling like having a conversation with your eyes closed" and clients often "wake" from hypnosis with increased feelings of wellbeing. 

 

Can I be made to do anything I don't want to do under hypnosis?

 

Absolutely not.   You cannot be made to do or say anything that you don't want to while you are under hypnosis and the client is always fully in control, with the ability to bring themselves out of the hypnotic state at any time. 

What if I remember something I don't want to talk about?

 

That is absolutely fine. You are always in control and can decide how much or how little detail you want to share. The purpose of regression is to explore the emotions and meaning attached to past events, not the event itself.  Therefore, the details of the event do not contribute to the success of the process.   Should a client uncover something they feel uncomfortable about sharing in the session, the details of the event do not need to be explored, only the feelings and emotions that the client has associated with that event.  The client's comfort throughout the process is of primary importance and always respected.

Payment & Cancellation

 

Payment is required in full at least 48 hours prior to your actual hypnotherapy session.  Session times cannot be confirmed until the agreed fee has cleared.  A 24 hour cancellation policy is in place.  Any changes to bookings within the 24 hour cancellation period will be charged at the full rate.
